Alexey Goribol

Creates original art projects uniting classical music, theatre, cinema and ballet. Is a laureate of the 1st prize at the 9th International Chamber Music Competition in Trapani (Italy, 1991) and of the 2nd prize of 1st International Music Competition Classica Nova in commemoration of Dmitry Shostakovich in Hannover (Germany, 1997).

Alexey Goribol performs in Russia and Europe, makes recordings on radio and CDs, takes part at Russian and international music festivals. Since 1995 Alexey Goribol is artistic director of Moscow Musicians Union and one of founders of the art union of the young Moscow musicians MCM Entreprise.

His latest concert programs include Chosen by the Youth, My Happiness, Jewish World, Sketches to the Sunset, Hammer and Sickle, Britten?s Days in Russia, Avant-garde of Mikael Tariverdiev, The Gift.

Alexey Goribol was music director of films His Wife's Diary (directed by Alexey Uchitel), Moscow (directed by Alexander Zeldovich, Grand-prix of the 4th International Film Music Biennial in Bonn), For Me There Is No Death (directed by Renata Litvinova). Together with the Saint-Petersburg Pro Arte Institute he presented a cycle of concert programs Consonances of the 20th Century, that was one of the major events of the academic music season 2002/2003.
