Yelena Nikolaeva
I was born in Moscow on February 9, 1983.
What have I been doing all these years?
When I was five I was enrolled to train in artistic gymnastics. Everybody thought I would be a world champion. Didn't happen. They wouldn't let me eat cream o' wheat and my grandmother came to take me home, saying, What are these people doing with these kids?
Then I went to ballet school. I thought I'd be the next Anna Pavlova but then I changed my mind.
I entered Igor Moiseev's folk music studio and graduated. I thought I'd be a soloist in the ensemble, but it didn't happen.
For two years I didn't think about anything.
Next I joined the Skies of Russia Song and Dance Ensemble and you wouldn't believe what I thought.
Two years later I went to work as a tutor at the Arlecchino children's club, where I looked after children and kept them busy while their parents were otherwise occupied. I rather suspect my reason was stunted at this time: I love kids, of course, but not in such quantities.
In 2002 I finally resolved to take the Exams. I passed the Exams. And I was accepted to GITIS, from which I then graduated. What I will do next I do not know. For the time being I'm not bored. My reason is not stunted. I try to think as little as possible.
