Elena Gorina
After graduating from the Yekaterinburg State Theatre Institute (acting class of A. Neustroyev and A. Zhigar) Gorina was qualified as theatre and film actress Winner of several prizes at the contests of recitalists. In 2007 she received Bravo Award for the role of Nina Skvortsova in the graduation production of Alexander Volodin's A Factory Girl. Other roles in graduation productions include Kat Hardcastle in Oliver Goldsmith's The Mistakes of a Night; Chewer and Winker in The Wizard of the Emerald City after A. Volkov; Tire Fitting Ballet number in the choreographic composition One, Two, Three, Four.
In 2007 to 2010 Gorina was an actress with Shalom Jewish Theatre where she appeared as Hare in A. Heit's Operation Tra-La-La (director) V. Vitols; Gerda in E. Schwarz's The Snow Queen (director Y. Amosova).
As of 2009 Gorina has been collaborating with undergraduate students of directing of the Moscow Art Theatre Drama School and the Meyerhold Center. She appeared in their productions as Polish Girl in The Gogol Evenings and in the mono-play Natasha's Dream (director Sh. Dynkanbayev). This production was an out-of-competition entry at the Golden Mask Festival and was shown at Festival De Otono in Madrid. Gorina also played Pelageya and Fetinya in A. May's production of Dead Souls. Volume One. Chapter Three. Scenes. In 2008-2009 she played Nyura in the stage version of Alexander Kuprin's The Pit at the Strastnoy Boulevard Theatre (director R. Belyakova). As of 2010 she is engaged in the SoundDrama's production of I Am Machinegunner.
